Heptane

Heptane is a non-polar solvent, widely used in laboratories for chemical research or processes. However, as a liquid, it is ideal for the transportation and storage of other chemicals like fuel. Heptane is also widely commercially available as mixed isomers for common usage in paints and coatings, rubber cement solvents, fuel for outdoor stoves, and, in its purest form, for the research and development of pharmaceutical manufacturing as well as being a minor component in gasoline.
