Innospec's GEMTEX 691-40, Sodium Dicyclohexyl Sulfosuccinate Surfactant

Innospec is one of the largest suppliers of Sulfosuccin(am)ate surfactants which are used in a wide range of industries from emulsion polymer (EP) synthesis, paints, over print varnishes (OPV), inks, adhesives, agrochemicals, plastics and many more.

GEMTEX 691-40, Sodium Dicyclohexyl Sulfosuccinate, CAS# 23386-52-9 is used in a wide variety of emulsion and suspension polymerization as the primary emulsifier. It produces latexes with low coagulum, small particle sizes and narrow particle size distribution. In paint and adhesive formulations, they can be used to lower surface tension, improve flow and leveling characteristics. Sulphosuccinate surfactants have been used in waterborne formulations to ensure adequate wettability by the overprint varnish over fresh offset ink.

VESTOPLAST Amorphous poly-alpha-olefins (APAOs)

With Evonik's VESTOPLAST amorphous poly-alpha-olefins, Evonik offers a broad range of co- and terpolymers of ethylene, propylene and 1-butene as raw material for hot melt adhesives and various other applications:

• Excellent adhesion and hot tack properties
• Adhesion to various substrates, especially on polypropylene without pretreatment
• Good cohesion and high thermal stability
• Very good hydrolytic and UV stability
• Low density

VESTOPLAST is a valuable ingredient for a broad range of applications and is one of the major resins used for hot melt adhesives. Typical hot melt applications are wood working, hygiene, packaging, automotive, and textiles. Other applications include bitumen modification, wire & cable, sealants, and mattress construction.
