METHYLAL ANHYDROUS

Anhydrous methylal has a maximum water content of 0.03% water. Methylal is an Acetal solvent (-30 degC flash point) that is manufactured from Methanol. It has high solubility power and tends to significantly lower the surface tension of formulations, making it an ideal solvent choice. It is used in applications including paint strippers, cleaners, cosmetic manufacturing, aerosols, and urethane foam manufacturing. As with all Acetals, it has an extremely low toxicity profile and is sustainable from an atmospheric chemistry perspective.
